Holly Razavi

Holly Razavi is a British artist based in a small coastal village in Devon. Working primarily in oil on handmade paper and wood, she paints landscapes and architectural scenes infused with quiet human presence.

Using a muted colour palette, Holly creates dreamlike, illustrative scenes that reflect a fascination with place, memory, and fleeting moments of connection, often blurring the line between observation and recollection.

Through soft light, delicate mark-making, and gentle gesture, her paintings feel intimate, reflective, and quietly nostalgic.

"I love to create landscapes that feel magical. The aim is to simplify the spaces I paint and use a reduced colour palette, wanting to instil a sense of calm in the viewer, while pulling their focus to the joyful interactions of the inhabitants of the peaceful scenes. I'm always aiming to create enchanting paintings that bring joy and peace."
