Fred Clark graduated with a degree in English Literature in 2011. He did a Postgraduate Diploma at the Prince's Drawing School in 2012 and was selected for the BP Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery in London in 2013.
Describing himself as a 'self-taught painter who draws a lot,' his striking line drawings are keenly observed studies, energetically played out through the charcoal.
Working mainly from life, Fred has travelled widely through India and Burma, recording his travels in his sketch-book. His subsequent sell-out exhibition INDIA took place on Blandford St in London in 2013.
Based in London, Fred travels widely, including recent drawing trips around Spain, Africa and Jerusalem.
